Should Hebrew Israelite Women Teach? The Redemption / Liberation of the Daughter’s of Zion
Yah is not dealing with women at all? Yah has never used our women to lead, teach, or influence the whole course of the Nation of Israel? Yah only uses women when there is no man available?
All these claims are scripturally FALSE and are broken down in great detail below (with scriptural references).
To help restore intricate parts of our culture that were lost. Parts that would aid us in having healthy, more complete families (for all members involved, according to Yah’s design), lifestyles, and a better understanding of our beautiful culture to aid in a desire of ALL members of the family wanting to know more, and thus seeking out YAH through study, fasting, and prayer, to bring about a closer relationship ULTIMATELY with HIM, but ALSO with our families, and EVERYTHING HE has given us to be GOOD STEWARDS of….
THIS IS A HEALING, INFORMATIONAL MINISTRY/Work.
Many Speak from FEAR of what a Foolish Woman May do, with No Consideration for the Wise
Many speak from fear of what a foolish woman may do with her Yah Given strength and Influence, but a wise woman knows how to use her strength and other attributes to build her family (if she chooses to have one) AND contribute greatly to the nation of our people. Yah has a better picture of how things should go in unison (together).
How My Husband Deals with the STRONG Proverbs 31 Woman?
At the time of this writing in 2017, we are married going on 9yrs and my husband supports me completely. He and our children have benefited greatly from having a Proverbs 31 woman in the household. He has seen the awesome ways Yah uses me AND how Yah blesses the works of my hands and causes things to be fruitful, quickly multiply, and produce for our household: In everything from finances to health. Seeing these things flow first hand often causes him to be amazed, “praise” me, and ULTIMATELY the Father who he knows works through me.
Proverbs 31:28 “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”
Why is it Important to Understand Our True Culture as it Pertains to the Scriptures?
This is not religion for us. It’s culture. It’s a family.
No doubt our scriptures have been hijacked by those who didn’t care at all about understanding the culture of our people. In fact, one of their main objectives was to leave THEIR imprint, cause confusion, and change things, so that we will stay like the horse chasing the carrot dangling in front of his face on a string.
Welp. That time has come and gone and for those who truly desire the carrot of wholeness, in this time, it is there for them to grasp and some of us are ALL TO GLAD to help these falsehoods meet their final resting place.
For example, when someone from Europe or many other parts of the world come to America they are often surprised or even offended (as if it is an insult to their intelligence) when they order a biscuit and receive this:
In their culture, a biscuit to them is what we here in America would refer to as a cookie, but they call it a biscuit.
Here are some examples of the European Biscuit:
So Where Do We Go from Here? And 20 Years of Marriage in America?
We must understand that those of us whose descendants arrived to where we are by way of the Transatlantic Slave trade are further removed from our culture than many of our people who remain in certain pockets in West Africa and scattered through other parts of the continent.
In brief, according to many of their oral history due to different migration times, borders and other effects of colonization many of our people here of different tribes and in different countries do not even know that they are actually ONE people.
Yah has never used our women to lead, teach, influence, the whole course of the Nation of Israel? Yah only uses women when there is no man available?
Now you have some making outlandish statements like “Yah is not dealing with women at all.” “Yah has never used our women to lead the lead, teach, influence, the whole course of the Nation of Israel,” etc. “Yah only uses women when there is no man available.”
These things are so basic that for most we don’t even have to dive into the Hebrew (like we could) for deeper understanding…these things are right before your eyes if you READ the word in its’ entirety to get the balance of the word on a subject matter to clear up any possible confusion you may have.
Then from there you can use the Hebrew to bring even more clarity on this subject matter, if you so please. But it amazes me how so many profess to be scriptural scholars and yet miss the most basic of things and examples all through this scripture.
Proverbs: 4: 5-13
5Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6Forsake her (talking about wisdom) not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
10Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
11I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
12When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
13Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
Highlighting the DOWNFALLS of Women in Scripture OVER the Successes
A lot of times the men or women who prescribe to this thought process like to try to highlight the downfalls of some women in scripture as some “evidence” to support their claims.
– Here we will be using scriptural examples that flies in the face of the false, blasphemous (lying on Yah and saying what he NEVER did), abominable (when something goes against the natural design of what it was created to do, who it was created to be or HOW it was created to function), lies put forth by many in Israel (The Hebrew Israelite Community) who are seeking to fill their OWN voids, emptiness, feeling of powerlessness and inferiority, by taking scripture out of context and reading into it what was never there.
The Hebrew Israelite Woman: The Most Influential Member of Household
First, remember the Moses was told to give the word to the women FIRST. The serpent came to Eve, FIRST. Why is that? Is it because she was weak? No. It is because of her influence. If the woman eats, then the man and her family will “eat” as well.
She is the most influential member of the household.
Deut 7:3-4 3You shall not intermarry with them, giving your daughters to their sons or taking their daughters for your sons, 4for they would turn away your sons from following me, to serve other gods.)
Here are some of the women who will be used, for the sake of time, detail will not be given to all of the women, but the names are here for any that you are not all that familiar with, if you desire to do further research:
Some of The Hebrew Israelite Women who YAH Used to lead, teach, influence, the whole course of the Nation of Israel, even When Strong Righteous Men were Available
- Of course, Deborah who was a prophetess and a judge, during a time where the judges ruled Israel. She exercised complete religious, political, judicial, and militaristic authority over the people of Israel. (Judges 4-5) and
- Jael (who exhibited her “gentle and quiet spirit” by driving a tent peg through Sisera’s skull).
Huldah Taught the Book of the Law to the King…
The king also sent the High Priest, Hilkiah, to seek out her (Huldah’s) wisdom on the word of Yah, the book of the Law, found in the Temple.
- Prophetess Miriam (Exodus 12:20), and who the prophet Micah mentions right along with Moses and Aaron as being a leader of Israel who Yah sent before them to lead them out of Egypt. And there would be no Moses to talk about if a young Miriam had not had the forethought and wisdom to do what she did to save his life as a baby (Exodus 2). Other references of Miriam: Exodus 21, Numbers 12, Numbers 20, Numbers 26, Deuteronomy 24, Micah 6:4
Judith REBUKED Male Elders and Prays Over Them
She (Judith) sent out one of her waitingwomen to go bring the elders back to her. She rebuked them, telling them that the words they had spoken to the people are not right (Judith 8) and when she was done Uzziah said to her (Judith 8:28-31) “28 Then said Uzziyahu (Uzziah) to her, All that you have spoken have you spoken with a good heart, and there is none that may dispute your words. 29 For this is NOT the first day where your WISDOM is manifested; but from the beginning of your days all the people have known your understanding, because the disposition of your heart is good.” Then in 31 he asks her to pray for them, “Therefore now pray for us, because you are a RIGHTEOUS WOMAN, and Yahuah will send us rain to fill our cisterns, and we shall faint no more.”
Judith 8:32-35 “32 Then said Yahudith (Judith) to them, Hear me, and I will do a thing, which shall go throughout all generations to the children of our nation. 33 Ye shall stand this night in the gate, and I will go forth with my waitingwoman: and within the days that you have promised to deliver the city to our enemies Yahuah will visit Yisrael by MY hand. 34 But enquire no ye of my act: for I will not declare it to you, til the things be finished that I do. 35 Then said Uzziah and the princes unto her, Go in peace, and Yahuah Elohim be before you, to take vengeance on our enemies.”
Prophetess Anna– must also mention her.
Some of the Women Who PAUL SUPPORTED in Teaching the Scriptures and Considered Them LEADERS
Priscilla (from the husband and wife team Aquilla and Priscilla Romans 16:3 who Paul considered his fellow laborers of teaching the word aka side by side with him), Euodia and Syntyche (who Paul also considers his fellow laborers of teaching in Philippians 4:2–3) Chloe who lead her OWN gathering or “church” and Phoebe who was considered a deacon, were leaders in the early assembly (or what some call “church”) era and so was Lydia, Nympha (Colossians 4:15), Apphia, Mary (Romans 16 who Paul says has labored very hard) and one woman, Junia- is called an apostle by Paul.
Yahuah Tells Abraham to Do What Sarah Says
Not to mention Yahuah told Abraham to hearken or LISTEN to Sarah (about sending Ishmael away, even though he didn’t want to???)
Moses’ Wife Zipporah Saw what He Couldn’t See and Saved His Life
and the discernment of Moses wife, saved his life, by seeing the danger he couldn’t see at that time.
Abigail who interrupted King David’s plans, spoke with him and Kept him from doing Evil and He listened to her and good thing he did.. (1 Samuel 25), …
Personally, Abba Yah has Used even ME Prophetically and for Healings from a Baby
And even in that regard the things I have personally seen and do in my own life. The father has used me from a child.
(Now, I was too young to remember this one in particular, so this is the account of my mother)…
I was 2 years old…her check was late in the mail…She was frustrated and the Father used me to tell her the EXACT day it would show up in the mail, she fussed me out in disbelief (I was a child “speaking out of place”…so to speak) telling me that I didn’t know what I was talking about, it NEVER comes on Tuesday and sure enough it was in the mail when she checked on Tuesday.
Here’s another quick personal story:
Now, at this point I was older maybe 5-ish so I remember some of this myself, but my dad had to fill in the details…
He came back paralyzed from the neck down from the war the doctors said that he wouldn’t walk again etc. and the Father used me to go in that hospital grab my father by his dead hand and tell him to get up and walk. Now, he didn’t spring up and walk, but the filling immediately returned in his hand and he moved it.
The doctor’s were in disbelief and panic and the doctor that was in the room called in more doctors to come in and see this for themselves. They said “Mr.Minniefield if it’s true, if you can move your hand then try to grip my finger and he gripped the doctor’s finger.” From there they were able to get him into a short rehab where he learned to walk again and got right back to being his athletically competitive self.”
They Keep Us Playing in the Sandbox
The Subject of Hebrew Israelite Women Being Handled in a Lazy Manner Among the Nation
Often when people try to make their case for Yah NOT using women, only using women when no man is available, or whatever the different points they try to make…they do so by ONLY pulling a scripture here or there.
Don’t Be Fooled…It’s YOUR Responsibility to KNOW
But if you buy it, it’s not completely their fault. You have some responsibility to take as well. Here’s the thing we must remember Children of Israel, we all see and prophesy in part…so NO ONE has it all, no not yet.
So, you would be amiss to totally hinge your salvation, you life pursuits, and purpose, ministries, ONLY on the word of another person. “Study to show yourself approved.” “Work out your own soul salvation in fear and trembling.” “It is the honor of kings to search out a manner.” These 3 scriptures are there for a reason.
There’s a Price to Pay for Suppressing and Oppression what Yahuah has Put inside Women…It has to be Birthed
You WILL NOT be able to say to YAH, I thought women were supposed to be this and do this ONLY, and I was not a good steward of my wife, daughters, etc. and I suppressed and oppressed the very things you put inside of her for my blessing and favor, why some men choose to step on their OWN favor is beyond me… Proverbs 18:22 “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor with Yah” and maybe even the things that Yah put inside of her that could be a blessing to the world.
So if you are belittling and seeking to make women feel inferior, then no wonder many of these men feel so powerless and belittled in their day to day lives.)
There are many examples that can be given for each point in fact part of my challenge was narrowing down the abundant scripture to support this matter. But for the sake of time in this presentation we will practice, 2 Corinthians 13:1 “This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established”
and at least 2 scriptural witnesses will be given for each point and those whose heart and minds are in the right place will see according to Yah’s word that that is enough and even further search out the matter for themselves…Remember, everything in the word is not to be read like you read the newspaper or a magazine, you have to search out things for a FULL/Balanced understanding.
Proverbs 25:2 “It is the glory of Yahuah to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”
This is NOT Religion for US (so we don’t approach this the way Christians and Muslims do…this is OUR CULTURE)
But What Did Paul Say on Women Keeping SILENT?
Now, let’s deal with what Paul said, that many love to quote out of context. It seems as if most of us understand that when we read scripture we should understand the “who” (who is speaking and who is being spoken to), about what, when, sometimes where, but ESPECIALLY the WHY (why is this being said to this person or group of people and what should we get out of it). As everything for us in scripture is a learning experience.
Many of us understand that when we read the word, ESPECIALLY where things seem contradictory on the surface we should then seek out to further study this matter throughout the word to see what’s really being said in a place where we THINK the speaker may be contradicting the word or himself.
And (when it comes to dealing with those in scripture who we deemed to be in right standing with TMH) if after further study their words seem to go against the Yah desired culture of the scripture OR if their words seem to contradict their OWN actions or words spoken elsewhere in scripture…then WE must be humble enough to admit that maybe our UNDERSTANDING or INTERPRETATION of what WE thought the speaker meant is off…
Especially, considering that a portion of this is attached to what the bible calls a “mystery.” That means these things definitely cannot be handled lazily, by what you read on the surface.
Ephesians 5:31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”[b] 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Hamashiach and the called out assembly.
Mystery means hidden, concealed, or hard to see and if someone cannot understand this portion then they cannot begin to understand the true mystery of marriage.
Paul stated: 1 Corinthians 14:34 “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.”
Again in the book of Timothy we read Paul saying similar, Timothy 2:11-12 “11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”
1 Corinthians 11:5 “but every wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, since it is the same as if her head were shaven.”
Now, this is not talking about her physical head, but this is not a lesson on that.
Women Leaders and Teachers Who Paul Supported
Here again are some of the specific women who Paul supported and encouraged in their ministries and often referred to them as co-laborers or co-workers (like a help-mate or help-meet) meaning they were doing the same work he was doing or “working on the same job,” so to speak.
Priscilla (from the husband and wife team Aquilla and Priscilla Romans 16:3 who Paul considered his fellow laborers of teaching the word aka side by side with him), Euodia and Syntyche (who Paul also considers his fellow laborers of teaching in Philippians 4:2–3) Chloe who lead her OWN gathering or “church” and Phoebe who was considered a deacon, were leaders in the early assembly (or what some call “church”) and so was Lydia, Nympha (Colossians 4:15), Apphia, Mary (Romans 16 who Paul says has labored very hard) and one woman, Junia– is called an Apostle by Paul.
So, Why Does it Seem that Paul Contradicts Himself when He Says Women Should Remain Silent?
So, Now Let’s Examine Some Basic Things First:
- Who was Paul sent or called to?
2. Who was he speaking to here?
Gentile women NOT the Daughter’s of Zion (Hebrew Israelite women)
What Specifically was Paul Addressing here in Corinth? More Context
“Corinth was one of the most wealthy cities in the ancient world. In it was the temple of Aphrodite—a temple that boasted, of 1,000 prostitutes. You can do more research on this Pagan Greek goddess yourself, but just know the core workings of Aphrodite dealt with sexual ecstasy, and consuming all manner of sexual pleasures, and a vain form of beauty. She had many priestesses in Corinth and her priestesses offer sexual favors to the faithful and committed as a show of “worship” to the goddess Aphrodite. So, this is the CORE of what Paul was dealing with in his letters to Corinth around 55 C.E. This church was VERY troubled.
Writing from Ephesus, Paul addressed specific problems in the assembly, like divided loyalties (1 Corinthians 1:10, 1 Cor. 3:4, 1 Cor. 6:1-11); sexual immorality (1 Corin. 5:1-5 and 5:9-11, 1 Corin. 6:12-19, 1 Cor. 10:7-11); drunkenness (1 Corin.11:21); food sacrificed to idols and idol worship (1 Corin. 8:4, 1 Corin. 10:14); and disorder and confusion during teaching and worship (1 Corin.14:23).
Clearly, Paul’s instruction to women appears at the end of him stating to teach the word in an orderly way, so others might hear and understand (1 Corin.14:1-36). Paul’s primary concern here is the spreading of the word of Yah or aiding in bringing a portion of Yah’s kingdom here on earth, what some refer to as a certain kind of ministry work. That’s his main focus here. And The word is best taught in an orderly atmosphere. So that all the people may learn. Paul insists upon order in worship and he harps on it in Chapter 14.
As we’ve seen Paul supports women speaking in church or gatherings, he ONLY requests their silence when their freedom to speak proves a distraction to the word going forth. Paul’s highest priority is that the spreading of the word of Yah be done in an effective way.
Women WERE Prominent Prophets and What are Some of the Main Roles of a Prophet?
Romans 8:7 “For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to YAH, for it does not submit to Yah’s law; indeed, it cannot.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through YAH to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations (thoughts), and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of YAH (as flesh tends to do), and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of the Messiah;”
Words of Elder Mayanah when someone was implying that a woman being a prophetess meant that she had “spiritual authority” over the man:
“<—- Nowhere in the TaNaK is it ever stated that israelites considered the prophetesses “over” them. Israelites understood that the word of the Creator was HIS authority and didn’t go around trying to steal shine for themselves. This “boys vs the girls” thing is not our fight (it’s not a Torah thing).”
Whose Authority Do We Use?
This is one reason why the scripture says we should ask and seek him through Yahusha, His son’s, name John 14: 12-14 (on things according to HIS will not yours).
So, that when He looks at us, He sees us through the veil of His son.
You are more careful with things when you realize you are “borrowing it” and must return it (give account) one day.
Let’s stop playing the sandbox and go higher in understanding Israel.
If THIS was allowed for even gentile women then how much more for even the Daughter’s of Zion?
If gentile women are permitted (allowed) to speak on something that is foreign to them…Then WHY would the Father NOT allow Israelite women to speak on their daily lives and culture…what they actually lived?
Allow me to read an excerpt from a book, about ONE aspect of the special nature of the Daughter’s of Zion, (Hebrew Israelite Women) and the position they held in Israelite Culture:
The position of women among them was far higher than with the Arabs, and the character of Hebrew women must have been, on the whole, such as to command and sustain this HIGHER POSITION. The Arabs can show NO LIST of PIOUS and ILLUSTRIOUS LADIES like those who adorn the history of the Hebrews. No mother of “other cultures” ever taught, or could teach, such a “prophecy” as King Lemuel learned from his; NOR COULD A PICTURE OF “A VIRTUOUS WOMAN” GIVEN IN THE LAST CHAPTER OF PROVERBS, HAVE BEEN COPIED BY ANY ARAB (OR WOMEN OF OTHER CULTURES)…
(I don’t necessarily recommend getting this book, bc you cannot just take this books word for it…and I noticed that a lot in this book required separating the meat from the bone…The BIBLE is your greatest resource and literary study on our culture.)
I have seen many groups of other women complain of the IMPOSSIBILITY of having to be a “Proverbs 31” type woman, they see it as oppressive and an impossible STANDARD held over women’s heads, that in their can…can never be accomplished.
Hebrew Israelite Women, The Daughter of Zion, is different.
